The Nadala is a monographic publication in the form of a free miscellany containing biographical themes and historical commemorations relating to Catalan culture. The book is the Christmas greeting that the Lluís Carulla Foundation sends to the people who help fund the Baldiri Reixac Awards which are given as a stimulation and recognition of the work carried out in Catalan schools.
Prominent Catalan historians and literary figures collaborate on the project and the Nadalas have become a tool of work and reference in schools and institutes around the country.

En el nostre univers cultural hi ha temes que són indiscutibles, que tothom considera bàsics i imprescindibles, i que conformen el gros de les reflexions i les aportacions dels autors que hom creu més interessants. En definitiva, es tracta de temes que no cal presentar, que són obvis. Per contrast, hi ha qüestions, fets socials o matèries que al primer cop d’ull semblen més intranscendents, i fins i tot en alguns casos algú pot considerar-los banals. No cal dir que en el nostre entorn cultural l’esport ha estat molt sovint en aquest segon bloc, tot i que a la nostra societat la seva presència és impressionant.
